BladeCenter is the perfect example of IBMs goal to meet user requirements in the BladeCenter environment. In addition to the two onboard Ethernet ports - this card allows the client to add up to four (in IBM BladeCenter H chassis) or two (in BladeCenter S) extra 1 Gb ports thereby allowing them to leverage the benefits of 6/4 ports per blade. This card provides support for up to four Low Speed Switch Module (LSSM) switches within the Multi-Switch Interconnect Module (MSIM) in BC-H chassis (1 LSSM switch in BC-S).
